Mr. Smith joined Colbeck in 2025 as a Managing Director on the Investment Team. Prior to joining Colbeck, Mr. Smith founded and led the US Private Debt strategy at Muzinich & Co., a $40+ billion asset manager with public and private credit strategies globally. Before Muzinich, Michael held private credit investment roles at Credit Suisse, GE Antares Capital (now Antares Capital), and Madison Capital Funding (now Apogem) focused on Sponsor, Non-Sponsor, and Special Situations lending strategies. Michael graduated from Boston University with a BA in Chemistry & Math and was a member of the Varsity Men's Heavyweight Crew Team.
